Letters To My Mom - Day 1

Guest Blogger: MaRae

Dear Mommy,

Mother’s Day will never be the same without you physically being here, but nothing has been since you transitioned to heaven. I’m thankful for all of the ways that you show me that you’re still around. You send me reminders often, especially when you know that I need it the most. It’s amazing that you’re still finding a way to take care of me all the way from heaven. It’s so special and most people won’t understand that unless they are a daughter of a mom angel like me.

It’s been almost two years since you said your earthly goodbye and made your grand entrance to heaven. Some days it feels just like yesterday. I’ve struggled with not hating my life since you’ve passed and it’s a journey, but thankfully my therapist always reminds me to welcome you in my presence. You’re always with me even on the days when I’m in the trenches of grief and can’t seem to find joy in anything.

You were my most faithful and trusted confidant. You always extended grace to me because you loved me, while gently guiding me when I needed redirection. A mother’s love can never duplicated and that’s what makes it so special.

It is my greatest honor to carry on your legacy. Thank you for everything, Helen Bae! My love for you will always run deep.

Love,

MaRae

P.S. AN ENCOURAGING WORD TO MY ANGEL DAUGHTER SISTER

In honor of mental health awareness month, therapy is always a good option to consider. Having someone to talk to that won’t judge you but can help you process your thoughts and emotions while also challenge you can be very beneficial.
